Visitors
No more than two (2) visitors at a time may accompany the parents at the bedside.
Visitors must be accompanied by a parent at all times.
Grandparents, with permission from the parents, may visit alone.
Siblings may visit with their parents, if free of infection or recent exposure to illness. Initially, the child's immunization card will need to be presented, with an infection screening card completed at the time of each visit.
Infection Control
Careful hand washing is the key to infection control. When you arrive, you will be shown how to do a careful wash of your hands and arms before and after going to the baby's bed. If you have more than one baby in the unit, be sure to wash your hands between babies. Avoid touching other things, such as your hair, face, or clothes, after washing.
