Volunteer Positions
For 25 years, Good Beginnings has been built on the dedication of caring individuals, many who have had a child in the NICU. It is this team of volunteers who contribute their time and expertise that is vital to the success of the organization.
If you are interested in becoming involved, there are a number of volunteer positions that might be of interest:
Board of Directors
The seven-member board of directors is comprised of individuals from both the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the Los Angeles business community, who combine their diverse expertise to provide strategic direction and overall management insight to the organization.
Executive Committee
Responsible for the day-to-day running of the organization, the executive committee is comprised of elected positions, including an executive staff and a team of director posts.
Advisory Board
Good Beginnings is currently forming an advisory board, which will be comprised of volunteers with a diverse array of specialties. These individuals will contribute their own expertise, as needed, to events and activities within Good Beginnings. If interested, members from this group can be recruited for positions on the executive committee.
Parent-to-Parent Volunteers
Integral to the organization, parent-to-parent volunteers use their own personal experiences and hospital training to offer support to families with a child in the NICU.
General Volunteer Assistance
Volunteer opportunities are available to anyone who is interested in becoming involved with Good Beginnings, as help is always required with telephoning, mailing, sewing, gift preparation, fund raising, and the quarterly newsletter. Please contact Linda Rosenberg at (310) 423-6389 regarding your interests, hobbies, or skills and time availability.
